Belts are one of the most underutilized resources in my fashion wardrobe. That’s not to say I don’t have any; I do! Many (IE, most) just never see the light of day. I rarely wear belts with my dresses, as I find tight ones a bit uncomfortable, and I rarely wear them on jeans because I specifically search for jeans that don’t gape at the waist (and when I find those miracle pairs, you better believe I snatch them up!) Every once and a while, though, it is fun to experiment with old pieces. This little belt cost $3.50 at Forever 21, and even though it is ancient and too big for my waist, it works well over my much-loved cape and a few cozy under layers.

Love the red with that cape! A charming pop of color.
Why thank you, Nadine! Sometimes, I really crave color in the winter. Especially when the surroundings are so gray.
I love your pose in the second photo. It’s so expressive!
Thank you. Encouraging me to smile more, haha. You’re obviously secretly my mother…
OH MY GOD. How did you know?
I’m awesome.
