I thought I’d write up a little review on these Revlon Lip Butters. I remember when they first released; the beauty world was abuzz with love and raves for them, and I was dying to get my hands on one. The first shade I ever owned was Cherry Tart, and after almost using it up entirely, it melted and broke off of its packaging. This was over a year ago, but I do remember loving it dearly and using it almost daily.

Fast forward to this year. The buzz surrounding these products still hasn’t ceased, and after a long yet successful school day, I wanted to treat myself to a new lip product. My mother so generously volunteered to pay for it, and I took her up on the offer! I chose a different shade this time: Berry Smoothie. In its packaging (which I adore, actually; it is very chic and pretty), the lipstick looks very dark, but it is a much sheerer pink on the lips. It has more of a hint of berry than an actual berry tone, in my opinion. I really do like the color, but I wish it were a little deeper. Personally, I prefer deeper colors on my lips.

The product itself is nice. I wouldn’t call it the most amazing lip product I’ve ever used. Not by a long shot. But I do really enjoy the color and texture. Are these miracle products or highly moisturizing? No. Nonetheless, I find this lipstick to me much more comfortable and sheer on the lips than other, more drying formulas I’ve tried. Overall, I enjoy this product, but the shade itself isn’t as awesome as it was hyped up to be.

Revlon lip butters cost about $7-9 and can be found at your local drugstore.

  1. I simply adore this brand and variety, I use revlon for some of my make up needs. The packaging looks familiar, just wondering if this comes in pink? I do like to as it is smoothing and moisturising when some lipsticks can feel gluggy as well as a bit rough to apply.

    Take care Sam!

Me too! :) These lip butters come in a million shades, and there are definitely some pink ones! I love these because the shade of the tube actually matches the color of the product. It’s really cool. Take care, too!
